Neerja Goel-Lyder, O.D.

 Dr. Goel Lyder graduated from the SUNY College of Optometry followed by a residency in ocular disease.  Her expertise in contact lens fittings and the treatment of various eye diseases is a great asset to our team.  She has been a resident of Poughquag for over 10 years along with her husband, Jim, son, Sean, and twin girls, Sophia & Sarena.  Dr. Goel-Lyder, a twin as well, keeps very active.  She is actively involved in Cub Scouts, karate and assists in Hindi dance & language instruction. You may have caught her on stage in a local theatrical production by From Stage To Screen in Poughkeepsie, driving in a demolition derby at the Rhinebeck fairgrounds or possibly taking a polar plunge for Alzheimer’s at Freedom Park. 

Ira M. Price, O.D.

Dr. Price is a graduate of Brandeis University in Waltham, MA and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan.  He is the clinical Director of Low Vision Services for the Helen Keller Services for the Blind in Brooklyn Dr. Price received his low vision training from Dr. George O. Hellinger, one of the founders of low vision rehabilitation at The Industrial Home for the Blind in Brooklyn, NY and has been a NYS certified low vision specialist since 1988.  Dr. Price is in private practice in Woodhaven, NY, in addition to being a part of our Eye Appeal team.  Dr. Price lives in Poughquag with his wife Amy, two sons Josh and Sam and their rescued greyhound Classy.
